I particularly like some slides(?) from Cabo Verde and Ponza, and the
b&w portraits

The first exhibit good colour qualities and management (btw, is it
velvia?) although many of the slides appear to me too dark in the
shadows and generally uneven. Maybe too much intentional
underexposing, maybe the lighting was not ideal (perhaps too much
range of contrast that couldn't survive a 5 stop slide capacity?).
Whereas in the first shot in the cafe it is quite good, plus the
choice of 'canvas' (film) here is very succesful for the complimentary
red and green.
I find the portraits as the most interesting of all because of their
higher compositional originality. I admire the intimacy and desicive
moment of the highly contrasted girl who keeps an explicit eye-to-eye
relationship with the viewer, and still implicitly with her
cigarrette, interacting so with her space and the surrounded crowd. As
well as the man behind the net. Great composition..how did you take
it, if you don't mind? Small aperture and underexposing on his clothes
around 1 stop?.. and do you remember the film?
