I am blissfully unaware of the ramifications, but talking with a cell phone 
savvy fiend, he gave up GPS technology (or was it GSM?) hmmmm.

Anyhow, now he has a tri-mode phone from LG, and he's quite happy!
Switched to Verizon, from AT&T (Cingular) and loves it!

I can see I'm going to have to get educated about all these acronyms!
