I remember when I saw the first slide presentation at Olympus Woodbury
for the OM-4. This new body really flipped everyone out. Multi-spot
metering? Way too cool to not talk about at the time. (You can watch
the slide show but you can't talk to anyone about it.....)
We won't go into the battery drain problems, it became a growing pain,
until better circuits came out. Circuit made by Sharp (as I recall).
Originally Olympus tried to design the OM-4 circuit, lots of lost R&D. I
may be wrong on this. Khen, correct me if necessary.
BTW, I'm not aware of light leak problems with OM-4 (unless it has 20
year old foam.)
