Third party lens manufacturers are pretty predictable. Sigma is
usually first to market in a particular niche, but has quality
variance problems; Tamron is next, normally doesn't hit all the
niches, but are usually good when they do; Tokina brings up the rear
and seems to be limiting their new offerings to digital only. Note
that the film/digital lenses have been in the line for a quite a
while. I bet they're selling off remaining stock.
