I learned to just buy the second cheepest battery from wally
world. They all seem to last about the same length of time
anyway and the pro-rated warranty covers any early failures.
I've had two fail between five and six years. Average purchase
price is something like $45.
Reminds me, my 1986 Grand Am went 191,000 miles and eight years
on the original battery. I cooked three alternators through
those years, but only used the original battery.
