Very inexpensive as flash brackets go and very effective. Can usually
be bought used on ebay even less expensively. There are always lots of
them for sale. There is also a fold-up version of the same basic
product. Fits in the bag more easily but costs a fair amount more.
As you look at the photo of the product in the B&H link above you'll
notice a flash cold shoe with clamp attached to the top of the frame.
This cold shoe is attached via a standard 1/4-20 screw. You can either
remove this shoe and attach the Canon shoe cord 2 in its place with the
same screw or else grip the bottom of the shoe cord using the clamp on
the cold shoe. The first method is more secure but the second allows
you to easily remove the cord without a screwdriver as the clamp uses a
thumb screw.
