Winsor has a good point. There was a day when digital couldn't compare to 
film. That time is now past, and a decent digital camera can get quite good 
results. We are now at the point where we can say that one is different than 
the other, but better is on a case by case basis. There are some situations 
where film is still better, but plenty where digital is at least as good, 
and often better.

 I do think that our digital cameras today are about where old C22 color 
negative was. In ten years, we will look back with raised eyebrows at the 
results of our 2006 cameras.
