The rebates certainly help steer in the direction of C. If you buy the
lens as well as the body you get double rebates for both which amounts
to an extra $400.
But I do like my 28-80/2.8 which at $469 costs much less than the
24-105/4 even after you knock $400 off the $1130 price. They're not too
hard to find used either. KEH often has them but today I see they only
have the Nikon version.
