I guess Chuck means (and I concur): wide angle views with a prime lens. So far,
the widest rectilinear prime wide angle lens working on N*kon DSLRs is a 14mm,
i.e. 21mm equivalent. But its is rather big (the N* one as well as the Sigma
one), and not very highly regarded, with a huge exposed front element - I might
as well get the 12-24 zoom. The N* 20mm is small, but we are now at 30mm
equivalency. (OTOH, that is still better than the 42mm equivalency of an OM
21mm used on a 4/3 body).

On a C* full frame, on the other hand, my tiny Oly 21mm is still a tiny 21mm.

This, for me, is an argument to get a 5D. But don't worry, Winsor, there are
arguments against it as well :-): the price, the dust problem, the ergonomy -
for all of these points, the D200 wins.

Other points: maybe, for a N*kon body, the 15mm Sigma fisheye could be
interesting - its focal length would be equivalent to 22mm or so, and the
fisheye distortion not so high as on a FF body. And it is a rather small lens.

As you can see, I am not decided... :-)

Bernard
