When I get a piece of gear that will get used, at a good price and house it
on the "not to be sold anytime soon" shelf, I start thinking in terms of
Fang/No Fang. Well, one just recently made its way to Sugar Land. Are you
curious? Maybe a 40mm f2 or an OM 3T at less than a hundred bucks. Nope,
that is
fairy tale stuff or if not, certainly not something about which I'd be
talking too much.
So how about a Made in Japan, Olympus Chrome Six IIIB for $60 plus $15 for
shipping? Oh, and one that was in near mint condition with its leather case.
No, it is not OM or e-1 and it is Olympus and it will, no doubt provide me
with another Olympus image capturing tool that I'll enjoy into the future. It
is medium format offering 6X6 or 6X4.5 images. Not an e-whatever, but it is
Olympus and it will keep the fire stoked.
Sorry to say I won't be at the meeting as am certainly not anywhere near the
wagon . . . and intend to keep my distance in the near future, while I enjoy
