But almost exactly the same thing happened with the other AT-X Pro
lenses that have disappeared, the 28-80/2.8 and the 80-200/2.8. The one
difference is that the Canon versions disappeared first from B&H while
the Nikon versions were still available... for awhile. B&H simply had a
note posted thre that the Canon version was on backorder. Little did
they know or say that Tokina was never going to fill the order.
Eventually the Nikon version went on backorder too and after awhile
Tokina quitly moved those lenses from the current lens selections to the
"history" section. Take a look a the history section on Tokina lenses
on the THK website. You'll find that many AT-X Pro lenses (top of the
line) are now "history".
