I cross backup between two networked machines and then have a separate
backup on a removable drive. Last summer I had a hard disk crash and lost
some of the best elk photos I have ever taken and had not backed them up
yet. Being sloppy hurts. I'm still pissed at myself. /jmac

You have my sympathy. That is just awful. I use a redundant drive in
case one fails, but I am more than sloppy about disconnecting it
after backing up and storing it off premises. Discipline.
