Talking of CRT vs LCD, I've just bought and am now using a 19" Dell 1905FP
LCD TFT flat panel monitor which puts my old 17" CRT monitor to shame
(except the CRT's top also served as a convenient temporary "shelf" for
stuff).

number of electrons were asked their permission to be terribly
inconvenienced. (And threw a party for them afterwards for being really cool
about it).
