From your nostalgic description I was expecting something "old &
quaint". The place looks brand new! I like the lavender sky. I assume
that's an effect of artificial lighting but it is much more pleasing to
the eye than the usual mercury/sodium vapor lamp.

An old landmark of Hong Kong, Star Ferry Pier (Hong Kong side) will be
dismantled due to build a road to solve traffic jam in Central area.
It is so pity that fail to keep the pier as its 48 years service, a
landamrk, a special charater building & the sound of the clock
............. :(
