I know the feeling. I'm still using an ancient digital StarTAC (built like a
tank, perfect form factor and incredibly robust), but only because I've been
scrounging disused ones from family, friends, and colleagues, and keeping
one going from all the parts. PITA when you have to replace the radio board,
'cos you have to pay the carrier for an ESN change.
