There are two main factors in pricing images for puzzles
(assuming licensed use, NOT royalty-free).
1. Print Run
2. Territory (1 Country, World)
For <10,000 and World Distribution, you're looking at a standard
stock image price of about $800. For <5000 and USA only
distribution you're looking at a standard stock image price of
$500. These prices are approximate, with about a 15% swing
either way depending on agency.
DO NOT "Royalty-Free" the image to them as it gives them the
ability to reuse the image on anything from mouse-pads to
tissue-boxes without paying you further.
As I have images listed with agencies, I tend to always charge
agency rates. If it's an image not necessarily listed with an
agency (which describes the bulk of my library), I might drop
down 15% from the agency equivelent pricing in a direct sale.
