These things are so fraught with interpretation it is hard to know
anything. The short time period reflects that Nikon is selling new
models and Canons have been on the market for a while and this short
period may be completely atypical for long term trends. I understand
that sales in Japan are in no way reflective of sales around the
world. And it is never clear whether they are actual sales to
customers or sales to dealers who may have large inventories of a
particular model. Competition is nice though, for everyone.
