My wife is REALLY good about this. She's learned the art of
being able to spot something satisfactory right away. She has to
have a big wardrobe of multiple outfits, so it means that the
ultra-importance of any one dress or suit is diminished. Also,
the "churn rate" of the outfits is rather high. Not many
outfits are kept very long or worn too many times. Most stuff
is ordered on-line too. That's nice.
Now, to the subject of the dining room picture. I find it very
difficult to please her with pictures on the wall--which
probably is why she is always selling them. I got a print from
Bill Barber that I absolutely love. She refuses to have it in
the house! Go figure. The Z waterfalls shot is the first
picture in all the years we've been married that she really
likes. My lighthouse pictures came down for the holidays and I
doubt that they will reappear. One has already mysteriously
disappeared. A picture met an untimely death when it fell off
the wall a year ago. Hmm.
