Wiliam and Chuck,
thanks again for the suggestions. As I wrote in response to Jeff, bending
the lever was enough to fix things.
I was also a bit surprised about the rounded shape of the arm (on the
camera), but I'm not sure how it's supposed to look like. It works now and
as far as I could tell, the lever in it's new position does not scrape
against anything, so I guess all's well for now.
