[OM] Re: E-330 Question

I was offered an E330 at abut the same time as the 300D - and for around the
same price (s/h) but with 12 month warranty from a shop over the phone -
unfortunately, the shop was approx. 200 miles away. I didn't like the 'look'
of the E330 - looks way too much like a digital compact for my liking. I
know it isn't a compact - despite the live preview. Indeed, I thought the
live preview was actually a good thing.
The E1 is unmistakably a DSLR - even look wise. But the E330 is (bearing in
mind I've not used either) a more capable/higher spec camera (judging from
the reviews I read at the time).
Were I to buy either - given I still have my 300D, at the moment I'd
personally go for the E330 - but I'd reserve final decision until I had a
play with both for myself. But the E330 is (in my view) a quirky camera with
a few things going for it - it's small and compact, has the useful live
preview and the anti-dust wave-shaker thing (at 7am having been up al night
- I'm not overly worried about accuracy of terminology here). The E1 also
has anti-dust wave-shaker thing - so to me, at the moment, it would be live
preview and better specs vs looks - and I think I'd go with live preview and
better specs.
Just my uninformed opinion.
Allan

number of electrons were asked their permission to be terribly
inconvenienced. (And threw a party for them afterwards for being really cool
about it).
