Replying to myself again.

It just occurred to me that some of you may not be familiar with the term 
"heeled." Maybe it's just a Murkin colloquialism, probably mostly southern and 
western. It means being armed, packing a piece. I've begun to live by my 
favorite line from John Wayne's last movie, "The Shootist":

"I won't be wronged. I won't be insulted. I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do 
these things to other people, and I require the same from them."

That's why I usually tote a Glock under my shirt-tail. And I've got a permit, 
in case you're wondering, and it's good in 38 states.
