Yes on wildlife, people, astrophotography, and things that I don't know now
until they happen.

No, I'm not able to do that now nor most likely in the future. I'll just
have to find a way to get as close as I can to get the shot I'm looking for.

No, I have no interest in selling what I shoot. I do it because I like it.
If I were to print them it would be just for me or family or friends. As
long as it puts a smile on their face. I don't have the drive to compete in
the things. It's just self gratification and enjoyment.
These responses most likely don't help you understand what I want and why I
want them. It would make it so much easier on me if I did have a direction.
You will most likely be as frustrated as I am, but it's the peeling an onion
thing. The more I get involved in something the more I understand my own
direction.
Enough of searching for the mysteries.... All these things will come in time
I guess.

in your lens expansion a couple of days ago but I don't have it still. Could
you sum up the uses you would like to put your long lens to? Are you
thinking wildlife, birds, big game, sports? Do you plan on hiking with this
lens? Do you want to sell or print the images you make with this lens or are
they just for web display? With the answers so these and other questions
maybe we can help you get a bit closer to the goal.

Hi Daniel! I did invest in a heavy duty tripod for camera or video. It's a
manfroto with an excellent head. I don't know that want to dabble in
anything so much. I would like the smarts to get my lens needs met without
going through the buy for more sell for less syndrome. So I guess I need
your input on lenses with the goal. That's what I'm trying to do now. And
any ideas would be greatfully appreciated.
