Also, if your neighbors have chicken or cats or the likes that 'disappear'
on occasion, it isn't these birds, they can't open their claws very much,
Gopher is about as large as they can grasp, where as the smaller
Coopers/chicken Hawk that also frequents the woods edge, thinks they were
put there just  for them.

I haven't seen the Coopers in a while, I suppose it was the Red Shoulder
that chased it off. The Coopers in interesting to see take off from the
ground with that unusually long tail.

Well, I don't keep records, but I'm pretty sure it was on Provia 100F in an
OM-4Ti, with 1.4X-A teleconverter and a 300/2.8 Tamron on a Bogen tripod.
Can't tell you anything more, like shutter speed or f/stop, but the distance
-- I still can't locate that tree -- was about 50 or 60 feet. This was taken
off the deck, in my back yard, where a pair have nested for four or five
years.
