I forgot to add, that this is the E-500, so he saw nothing as he is looking
tough the lens. WE had a few good laughs over that and asked if he was
leading any off trail expeditions in the near future (he promptly pulled out
his new GPS and smiled).

I lent a friend my camera to take pics of me last weekend (usually they all
come out bad) and sure enough, they couldn't figure out the lens cap was on.

Damn my fired said, that was darker than a star lit night looking thorough
there!

Inspired by Graham's photos, I wandered out back to take a B&W (Plus-X) shot
or two with the Leica in the slanting late afternoon light. The M6 is TTL,
and the exposure meter indicators in the viewfinder kept telling me I needed
to open up the Summilux-M 50/1,4 more or choose a slower shutter speed. When
I got down to 1/15 at f/1.4, with the sun still shining, I knew something
was wrong. Dumbass hadn't taken off the lens cap. That's another difference
between an SLR and a rangefinder; with an SLR, you know right off the bat.
Oh, well, maybe I'll remember next time.

Great shots, Graham. It's mostly you, but partly that Leica magic.

Walt
