You are right Chuck. I saw the listing as 350/700 f/4.5 and believed there
would be a 350mm lens that was then 2x'd to 700mm. The idea of going from
70mm to 350mm and then to 700mm with however teleconverters it would take to
get it up that far.

I never asked but I assumed Alan was listing the actual focal length and
the effective focal length for his e-thing. I think I inferred that
from seeing at least one other lens listed with a dual focal length with
one exactly double the other. I never thought that it might be a 2X zoom.
