War for corporate profit is not only not a new concept, it isn't solely an
American Government aberration, ask the Brits and the Italians.

Still doesn?t make it right in my book.

Yup! Exactly. And some poor guy is getting his butt shot out from under him.

It's just not right.

Sounds about the same to me, they are more like corporate Presidents/Ceo's
responding to the needs and wants of big business ahead of those of the
people.

If the laws of supply and demand were what was controlling this and the oil
companies in the US, were US companies instead of Multi National Mega
Corporations, things would be a bit different. Before Gulf II, the US still
wasn't importing more than 15% of it's Oil form over seas and most of that
went to Florida, California and Alaska were both exporting Oil.

Now all that wonderful Oil they are getting out of Alaska, and want to get
out of the artic wildlife refuge is going to Japan, Korea, Indonesia and
China to fuel their new factories.... that use to be in the USA. So our
price of fuel goes up to cover the costs of exporting that which we once
had, to China for less than we pay for it, so they can sell us stuff at the
same price we bought it for when we were making it. So we the tax payers pay
to export it, and the Mega Multi National corporations get all the extra
profit at the same time, because we are a darling of the WTO.

I've been watching the news in India, apparently about 9 months ago the
people there started to freak out cause their jobs they have been
accumulating from the USA and Mexico over the last 2 decades, are going to
Indonesia and they now have the life style of the USA citizens, huge house
mortgages and credit cards maxed to the hilt.

It gave me to satisfaction to see Mexico get screwed when the jobs they got
from the US, whet to India, nor to see the Indians get screwed as their jobs
went to Indonesia and everyone's industry went to China.

Economically speaking, this all makes sense if you look at countries being
states under the control of the World Trade organizations, after all,
governments get their greatest pressures from the corporation so they
corporations make the profit and the government and we the people do the
work.

We're all in this together, it isn't as simple as nationalities anymore.

People in the US that complain about gasoline prices will not get much
sympathy from people in many other parts of the world. The US economy is
based on low fuel prices and if those go away things will be in an even
bigger mess. /jmac
