I saw the item and bid on it. about $10. I ask you all so many questions as
it is. I don't want to overdue it or wear it thin. But yes, it would have
been much better to have someone here look at it so they could have said
"no" to the TC.

Allen, you might have got the truth sooner!
First, the seller has been particularly unhelpful by saying the mount is
unknown, but arranging the photos to hide any detail of the mount, and not
showing the full detail of the inscription. That alone is a warning sign.
>From what I can see of the mount, I am certain it is not an OM-mount
teleconverter, because of the shape of the protrusion on the back. I note a
single letter "C" in what we can see of the inscription, which might
indicate Canon FD, but that is barely an inspired guess.
It is not worth buying. If you are committed to the deal, it is not worth
shipping - send the seller the money and ask them to dispose of it!
