The US was hit with a vengeance on 9-11. Terrorist were emboldened by 
the lack of response from previous attacks during the Clinton 
administration.
Something had to be done. Afghanistan was fine for starters but a bigger 
message needed to be sent. Saddam had 17 UN resolutions to comply or 
else. Threats of "or else" are a joke if never enforced. It was a good 
time to enforce the resolutions. It was also a strategic move to gain 
presence near Iran. There is a lot more to what the liberal news media 
wants us to know.
