I assume you're joking about this, but in any case, it's not true in
my experience.

My wife can usually look at 4x6 machine color prints and ID stuff shot
with Le!ca or Ze!ss.  I might be influenced by my preconceptions but
she has no clue.  "They just have a certain look."

I recently sold the last of my Le!ca gear except for a venerable
Minizoom.  I prefer Cont@x 'G' to Le!ca 'M' though I haven't shot any
B&W with it yet.  No darkroom.
