I enjoyed my job and loved the folks I worked with, but when I realized, since
I'd contributed extra every pay period for several years to my pension fund and
had reached the age to become eligible to collect my Social Security, that I'd
get about $1700 a month more staying home than working, I retired. Screw the
commuting and wearing a noose around my neck every day. I slept in this morning
until about 11:00. :-)
