Communities Magazine is seeking a cover photo for our summer issue.
The theme is "food production in community." A successful candidate
will:
* have enough pixels for as 8.5"x11" magazine cover -- five to eight
megapixels should do.
* have portrait (vertical) orientation.
* feature one or more people looking at the camera in a way that
makes a connection with the viewer.
* have a complimentary colour scheme.
* have some room at the top for the magazine masthead.
* be seasonally appropriate.
* if possible, invoke a sense of community.
* address the issue's theme, in this case, growing food.
* grant Communities Magazine First North American Publication Rights
-- copyright remains with the photographer.
* be willing and able to obtain a model release from any recognizable
people in the photo.
* receive $150 payment following publication, and a credit in the
magazine.
"From camera" images are preferred; any post-camera modifications
must be disclosed.
