It is nice to see further creativity in this area. I am a little
skeptical since Nikon used thin CMY filtering instead of RGB on
Coolpix models through the 5600 for the very reason of increasing
light to individual pixels. And they gave up on it and joined
everyone else with regular Bayer filtering. Sony played with it too
throwing in some cyan cells among the RGB a couple of years ago for
the advertised reason of improving color. It went away too.
