The only plate I have which has a curved lip is an L-bracket. All of
my other plates have a short right angle lip. I tried to check my RRS
plate for my OM but it doesn't have a number stamped on it. I think it
is a B21. Apparently they've quit making it. I couldn't find it on
their web site.

The battery door on the E410 is surely different from the E510. The
door extends along the length of the E410 body to within about an
inch of the tripod screw socket.

It's amazing that two companies whose business is designing and
selling machined parts can't tell a prospective buyer the dimensions
of their plates. Every time I've called Kirk, they've had to go to the
stock room and measure their plates. The new RRS web site is worse
than it used to be. If they would show the dimensions and have their
plates is a list sorted by size, it would be much easier to find the
best plate.

Good luck finding a good plate for the E510. I suspect the RRS B6 or
Kirk PZ31 would work.
