If you think he is "different," wait til you see him in person :-)
He's an uber-geek (hence I think his fascination with the $10 digi
cam). When he and friends noticed that a hotel kiosk of a local SF
convention crashed and that it was running Windows, they hacked it so
that the screen would say something amusing (without the benefit of
having a keyboard). He did warn the hotel IT later :-)
