Chuck, yeah, you gotta take those postcard shots, after all, how many of
those things do they sell..? Sometimes as I lined up a shot I was
thinking 'Gawd, this could go in a cheesy brochure...' ;-)
Winsor, those travel shots have probably got to see me through the
winter, unless we get somewhere warm in October. Heh. Then again, since
summer didn't arrive here, maybe it will soon?
Chris, cost depends how you go. We got our cheapest option, but it meant
flying Edinburgh - Amsterdam - Marseille - Calvi. Yuk. That's why I took
the E-1 exclusively. Didn't fancy the chances of film making it there
and back in one piece. A cheap flight to Nice and you can get the 'fast'
ferry (2hrs 50min) to Calvi, not very expensive, hire a car and stay in
a variety of places. We, of course, stayed with friends... ;-)
Saturday was bizarre. Fiona swam in the morning, we spent the day
getting home, it was teeming rain in Edinburgh, they'd lost her
suitcase, and then we couldn't get out of the car park! Suitcase arrived
a couple of days later. I hate flying...
