I know this is cheap and works very well because I use it but be sure to
follow the instructions on using the "filter test". I bought a couple
of cosmetic mask brushes on ebay for less than $10 with shipping. They
were wrapped in plastic and looked squeaky clean. The filter test
showed they were not. But a little soap and water and rinsing fixed
that easily.

I encourage you to read the pdf in any case since he tries to dispel a
lot of camera/dust related myths.

I also hear that the LensPen SensorKlear works very well. I have one
but haven't used it yet since I didn't need to after the last brush
cleaning. That left 3 small spots that were only visible with the blue
sky test at f/16 or smaller. Since I almost never shoot at f/16 I've
let them be. But yesterday showed up a little blob in the middle of the
sensor quite visible on blue sky and clouds at f/8. So, the SensorKlear
will get tested soon.

I also have used the Copperhill method using PecPads, Eclipse and a cut
down spatula. It works but is too fiddly to bother with unless you've
got a problem that nothing else will touch. Be cautions with Eclipse
(methanol) since some new sensors have a tin oxide coated filter in
front and methanol can attack the tin oxide coating. It was reported
for a while that the 5D was one of those and I was worried because I had
already used Eclipse on it. But the 5D has been taken off the tin-oxide
list.

Check the Photographic Solutions web page to see whether your camera is
OK with Eclipse or has tin oxide and must use Eclipse2 (which I believe
is mostly ethanol with little or no methanol).
