I would still suggest that you not do it.  If you shoot only raw with 
the Oly I think you're OK but only if your camera produces raw files 
which are all identical in size.

The Canons all do some degree of image compression on raw files.  It 
helps with space and write speed but if you do in-camera deletes and run 
into a problem requiring a recovery utility you will recover some of the 
deleted ones and lose a lot of the good ones.
