"Did" being quite apt for me, since I tried to drop off a film for
processing somewhere in town the other day, and found that I could get
"1 Hour Printing!" for my digital photos, but get charged extra if I
wanted "Same Day Printing" on my film (the opposite of my last venture
to such a shop). Well, that was until I remembered the little Kodak
place at Town Hall Station, which did it, no worries, but their store
was now near-empty of film, and my question regarding Kodak's "Black &
White" C41 consumer film was answered with "Yes, I not long asked them
for some and they don't make it anymore". Apparently, only the
"PROFESSIONAL BW400CN" is available, at the relevant price, and as he
was basically a small "consumer" place, not worth him stocking (not that
the price is a problem for me, but it was my first time coming up
against the decline of film, with it directly impacting my favourite
flavour).

On the other hand, I had three canvas prints (sort-of triptych) done the
other month, just by uploading the images via the web and picking them
up at a local Harvey Norman (a department store chain here). Quite nice
they are too.

Cheers,
Marc
