Depends on her culture. In Mexico some Indians speak Spanish and have
adopted hispanic culture and no longer consider themselves Indians. Others
still Speak their native languages and have maintained their culture.
Hispanic Mexicans, who control the country, keep the Indians poor and
powerless. Here in New Mexico the Pueblo Indians all have Spanish names and
speak Spanish but they consider themselves to be Indians because they have
preserved some aspects of their culture and are not totally hispanised. They
also get the right to operate Casinos that bring them tons of money from
non-indians...Casinos are illegal in New Mexico unless they are on an Indian
reservation. By the way, the Indians here hate the term native american.
They call themselves Indians.
