Didn't you really want to say "for the price of a used R9, I can buy
an OM-3Ti". Volume wise, isn't the R9 twice the size on an OM? So you
would be getting twice as much camera with the R9 however.

Unless your wife is accustomed to carrying your camera gear, or is
unusually large and strong, you would probably be better off with
Bill's OM-3Ti. The OM Zuikos, especially the zooms, are smaller than
the D. Zuikos, which that guy Leandro keeps saying are smaller than
Canikons, which with the possible exception of the L glass tend to be
smaller than the german glass.

Years ago one of the R modular telephotos showed up on yabe. It looked
very interesting and the little info I could turn up said they were
great lenses. The price had one too many zeroes at the end of it
however. Quickly looking through some reviews of older "R" telephotots
didn't turn up any reason to want to own those. I haven't paid any
attention to them since then so know very little about them.
