A 4T that needs a circuit goes to Olympus. They do all the work, supply
the part and charge only the labor. If I have to buy the part ($200)
and do the repair, price to customer becomes around $400. Too much! When
Olympus was still doing plain 4s, they would do the dead ones and
install the latest 4T circuit.
