MAG were quite popular here in SoCal for a good while, Garth. I've owned
a number of their CRT monitors over the years. Dunno from whence the
company originates, but their competitive point at one time was offering
similar quality to NEC Multisyncs at a significantly lower price. Last
one of their monitors I owned was a 17" CRT that was very nice to use.
At one point they had a facility about halfway to LA from here (so about
35 miles away, as I'm about 70 miles east of LA) and were quite happy to
allow you to drop off your under-warranty monitor for instant
replacement in case of problems. One just had to call and then stop in
between 9 and 5.
I do know that their current assembly facility (at least) is in
Mexicali, Mexico. We pass right by it when on the way to our place
further south in San Felipe.
