Vincent does hands down the best reviews of printers and scanners I've
ever seen. He's is thoughtful, through and prints the same test images
on many high end printers. As a long time pro, he knows what good prints
look like. His review of the 1400 says it directly compares it to the
R1800 and Canon and HP. I have not read the details because I already
have the R1800.
You will learn more from him than from the list.
