Skip the "national company/studio".  You'll probably be lucky to recover 
gas money on travel.

Stay with the local company and price your work such that it makes sense 
to you in how much you can make on an hourly basis.  If you haven't done 
product shots before you may have a tough time estimating the time.  If 
the products are all similar and can be done all at once after an 
initial setup then that can save you considerable time.  If the products 
are glass/metallic and highly reflective you may spend more time on them 
than you think.  Warning:  If the customer has been taking photos off 
the net he is probably not prepared for the cost of custom work.  He'll 
get sticker shock and complain bitterly but don't underprice yourself.
