That's as I remember it from when I lived near Des Moines '65-'69. I think
the Val Air was still in business then, but I spent my time there at Ernie's
Urban Lounge and some on the other side of town that I forget.
I don't agree with him about the music, as Woody and Basie were going
strong, and Phil Woods was in an experimental period.
