A word of caution - they have a black frame which may mask part of
the image. I bought one for my Leica M8 from a US dealer - it was
claimed to fit. Not only was it a slightly diffrebnt size to the M8's
screen (wider and shorter) which meant it would overhang slightly on
the raised screen - not good for thin glass - but the black mask
obscured the information bar at the top of the screen by half, making
it unreadable.
I complained, with precise measurements. I was told that no-one else
had complained (of course).
I checked size of the other variations of 2.5" screens (there are
three versions) - they were worse.
I contacted other buyers - most hadn't noticed (!) and a couple were
happy anybut.
My opinion of Leica users plummeted.
I contacted Giottos itself with precise details - received no response.
Anyone want a Giottos screen that doesn't seem to fit anything much?
- very precise measurements on application. :-)
