Hmmm.  I didn't think about the varying performance of different lens 
versions.  My own 24/2.8 is an SC version so that's what's in PTLens' 
database.  Accommodating different lens versions with MF lenses 
shouldn't be difficult.  You have to manually select the lens from a 
list because they don't identify themselves in the EXIF data which is 
what PTLens normally uses.  I also have to disable EXIF lens detection 
for the Tamron 20-40 since its external definition is "20-40" while it 
identifies itself in the EXIF as "21-39"... no automatic match.  Tom 
Niemann (author of PTLens) says he's never seen that phenomenon before 
where the self identification in the EXIF doesn't match the marketing 
definition.
