Only a LITTLE nervous?

Whatever else you do, and assuming you don't come to your senses, find a
similar setting and practice well before the event.

Sometime? Angle of the sun is very important. Getting the light/flash to
balance on figures wearing black and white partially under a gazebo in
direct sun is seriously difficult. Pray that the gazebo is big enough
and the hour right so that the principals can be completely in open
shade. If you can manage that or a light-medium overcast, you win.

You've talked about equipment, but not about film. You want latitude and
moderate contrast, so no slide film. And no cheapest print film from a
big box store. John Lind discusses the reasons in more detail on the
site already linked. You want the films the pros use, Kodak Portra or
the Fuji equivalent (NPS/NPH). The new Portra has gotten raves from our
resident event and film maven as the best yet and a joy to scan.

Everyone is entitled to their own madness. Enjoy yours.
