For Metz, SCA adapters for OM are no longer listed as available on Metz website
,although my guess
is you can still get them in retail channels.

The Metz CT60 units are no longer listed as available, although many accesories
are and the CT45
series has all but dissapeared, except for one model. Essentially these units
have been replaced
by lower power units with zoom heads and digital dedication capability. The
GN's of the new units
compete because of the zoom capability versus the fixed coverage angle of older
units. For wide
angle use of course the older units still have better GN's and with larger
reflectors they are a
little less harsh at closer distance.

For people buying used Metz equipment , I think it is pretty confusing because
they made so many
models and accesories with confusing names and numbers and incompatible cables!
 I have owned
quite a few different Metz high power units and have modified them for various
projects of my own,
so can likely answer many questions about those units. Same applies to Sunpak.

The Metz are pretty sturdy and last and last. You can often get the high power
units used
very, very cheaply in cosmetically poor condition, previously used by pros or
from rentals.

I currently have a project I am working on making some very major modifications
to some CT60
(200J) flash units. These are nice to modify because they are large and easy to
open and work on
and I have schematics.
