Hi Chuck:

The viewfinder was one of the attractions of the DX series- I bought a
D80 and a D200. One of the hardest things to 'get over' was the OM4Ti
(with the 2-13 focus screen) viewfinder. Especially for someone who
likes to shoot a lot of WA. When I looked down the 'tunnel' of the E1
it was just too big a transition and it put me off even looking at
digital for months. Having settled I am fine with the models I did
get and want now to take shots not worrying about what is out there.
What is out there is shrinking brand wise but exponential in change,
turnover and new models. It is almost better for them to not get it
right, and I suspect (perhaps falsely) that they have the final copy
in a vault (ok on a hard drive) and are peicing it out bit by bit. I
will add for anyone using the DX or contemplating it that the Nikon
18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED AF-S DX VR is a gem of a lens, especially
for travel, amazing range (27mm-300mm equivalent) and good
performance. So Chuck if you do get a DX just get the body and go for
the 18-200 it is well worth it.

Gord
